Rescue Jet was founded in 1991 by two Brothers in Law who wanted to work for themselves and had seen a gap in the market place for honest hard working drain cleaning contractors. Almost fifteen years on and they employ nine people in the area and are the largest independent drain cleaning Company based in Hull. Local Government, Local Councils, Health Authorities and Major local and National Companies are on their list of customers.

The success story speaks for itself. Mike Smith one of the Partners was the main salesman in the early days although he has not done this for many years as in his words “the customers found us”. However with a new sales initiative it was decided to purchase a Sales Representative Company car to progress the Company image.

Peter Robinson although having other jobs prior to Rescue Jet has spent most of his working life in the trade and is highly respected in the industry.

Mike Smith knows that reputation has been the key to their success. "I would be lying to say we have never had a complaint but they are a rare occurence. We are basically working class kids running a business."

The future is looking very bright as the Company heads into their second decade and with a new sales team that started in the New Year the future looks very bright indeed.



The Company prides itself on the fact that their staff in general stays with them; it is a family business that respects the Staff. Two of the current employees both have over eight years service.

The Company also has a policy of in house training. This way the staff carry out the duties from an early stage the way you want them to work.

The Company is a member of the Guild of Master craftsmen and also the Federation of small businesses.
