Established 1988 the company supplied bedroom and kitchen components mainly to the trade both locally and all over the UK. As sales developed the sales to the public grew and the manufacturing unit initially incorporated a showroom. Eventually in 2000 due to increasing demands the company leased a high street showroom, which is still active. In 2005 a web site was created to also show the company’s products and is an effective on-line showroom. The floods of 2007 did affect the company but by diversifying to house refurbishment and other building works the company survived. The continued ability and willingness to take on other building works has ensured the company’s survival through the recession as well.

The company has always manufactured it’s own doors and carcasses. Bedrooms, Kitchens and Studies were not only supplied locally but also distributed through a range of independent retailers throughout the UK. In more recent years the company has diversified and now offers building works, plumbing, electrical work, double glazing, house refurbishment and other services with it’s network of local skilled tradesmen.

Company Attributes

In recent years the company has seen some growth although the floods of 2007 and the recent recession made trading difficult. The company has adapted to the changing conditions and has survived as a consequence. One aspect that aided this survival was the maintaining of our quality of product at competitive prices. To highlight this the company does very little advertising but does have a large percentage of business through recommendations and repeat business from its growing customer base. This is a sure indication of having a high level of customer satisfaction. This is supported by many of our customers being willing to show our installations to potential new customers.
The manufacturing unit allows very fast turn round of order completion as well as having the ability to manufacture to bespoke sizes. This is both a time and cost advantage over our competition.
We have design packages that allow us to design both for the customer and with the customer giving customers their required design fused with our experience.
The family nature of the business is one of its keys to success.

The company was awarded the Telecom business award in 2005 and won the Daily Mail Contribution to the Community award in 2007/8. In addition it has supported and raised funds for local charities including Dove House Hospice, Local Hospitals and the Steve Prescott Fund. It has been a sponsor to Hull Darts, Under 17 rugby and Hull Wasps basketball. We have also helped with fundraising for a local school affected by the floods of 2007 and replaced their library bookcases.

We view this as putting something back into the local community that has supported this business over the years.




Company Potential

There is potential for expansion in the UK. The product is a quality product and is competitively priced. Our manufacturing facility is easily capable of increased output. This business has the potential to be developed and grown for investors, property developers, out of town Kitchen and Bedrooms companies.

Company People

Andy Coldray

Andy Coldray has been hugely responsible for guiding the company to its current position. A time served Cabinet maker and French Polisher with over 25 years business experience of the furniture industry. Also experienced in working with large companies. He has made the decisions on what action to take to overcome business challenges to ensure the company survival. This included responding to the areas severe floods of 2007 by diversifying the business into house refurbishment to compliment the core business of kitchens and bedrooms. He is directly responsible for manufacture of the product and for the financial control of the company. This ranges from sales to material purchase and for overseeing the jobs to completion. A team of designers also report to him.

Gary Fawcett

Gary Fawcett oversees all the installation and fitting aspects. This includes dealing with associated issues and for training of staff to meet our quality standard. He has over 25 years production management experience. Trained on the product by Andrew Coldray he ensures that the installations are completed on time and to the highest quality. He also does the customer design drawings with Margaret Coldray (Andrew’s wife).
