After many years of valuable service my Windows XP system was at the end of the road and in need of replacement, after talking to one of my friends he highly recommended Blake IT Services, I contacted Steve and he did a home visit to discuss my requirements and within 48hours he presented me with a quotation which I accepted, the new equipment was delivered and installed within five working days and after a couple of small hiccups which were dealt with in a professional and speedy manner I have not had any more problems!! We approached Steve after living on borrowed time with an old computer running on XP for all our IT needs with a huge amount of data/files essential to the service we provide to our customers. From start to finish, Steve was quick to respond, professional in every way and his knowledge knows no bounds. We followed all Steves advice and went for a completely new PC running on Windows 10. He was more than happy to visit our office premises on two or three occasions to sort the job and we are now up and running with much confidence. We could not recommend Steve anymore if we tried and all for extremely good value for money.
Steve provides just the first rate IT support I have been looking for. He has now sorted out various problems for me on two separate occasions. I am so impressed with his prompt, pleasant and efficient service. He is very patient and explains points clearly in non-technical language to an ageing non-specialist pensioner ! The "remote service" is excellent and reasonable and Steve's advice and suggestions for the future smooth running of computer/ipad/laptop are given impartially and without pressure. Called on Steve to close down two other outdated laptops. Then to test my "new", Ebay high 'spec laptop, Steve took the new one away and ran diagnostics to ensure it was free of data. old programmes and any other vices. He then loaded my Photoshop, Bridge and Lightroom. Set up email accounts and contacts listing, Wifi, Firefox and made the laptop a fully working machine. Futher he returned my two old ones to factory settings totally purging my presence. As a photographer this is important to me. I am appreciative of Steves' three visits and the saving of my many hours of faffing to achieve the same result. Recommended. RR.

We have called in Steve a number of times over the last few years to help with internet problems, set-up a WiFi system, supply a new computer and update software, assist with iPad problems, etc. We are very happy with the service Steve provides and his charges are always very reasonable. Strongly recommended.

I made a visit for a week in Hull for the city of culture event. What a great place Hull is. But oh no! My laptop computer became incorrect. What should I do? I find Blake computer repairs here in Hull using my iphone. Soon my laptop computer is repaired and I am happy again, very much as they made a special price = free! I wasn’t charged! only asked for a review on the website, so I do this. Thank you!

Being some distance from the exchange in Cottingham, my internet speed was never that good to start with. After slowing down over a period of time my internet connection failed completely. Steve repaired my home phone and computer network and now my internet connection is stable and fast. The best it has ever been in fact. Thorough and reliable and fairly priced. Highly recommended.

Having recently moved to Cottingham I needed internet setting up and a network connection to my garage that I use as a home office. I also needed some computer maintenance doing. I saw Steve's ad for computer repairs in the Cottingham Times and gave him a call. After discussing my options I was impressed by his patient, no pressure personality. Steve arranged the whole lot and my computer is now free of annoying adverts and runs smoothly again. I would not hesitate in calling him again.

Steve is so pleasant to deal with. He listened very carefully to my computing woes and very readily presented me with clearly explained options. There was no sales pressure at all and he had me up-and-running in seemingly no time at all. I am most grateful for his services and his very professional manner. When our office computer system needed updating I called Steve, who has been providing technical user support for a few years. All new computers, server, backup NAS, printers and scanners were installed with no adverse impact to business. All software including Sage Accounts, email and other specialist software was installed and migrated seamlessly. Professional, discreet, dependable.
Steve built me a new computer to replace my creaking Vista PC. What a difference ! He installed the new PC and transferred all my stuff, setup email, anti-virus and a complicated family history database that had not worked for ages. Excellent VIP service.

After a virus I was told by someone that I'd lost everything and needed a new computer. I was mortified because I didn't have copies of the photos. Steve saved the day recovering all my photos and word docs. I also invested in a good backup system so I now have copies of everything. Cheers Steve!
I don't drive so needed an I.T. pro - which is what Steve is - to call at my home and fix some problems after a power outage. It was urgent as I sell a lot on ebay. I've been unimpressed in the past by people claiming to be computer engineers; by contrast I found Steve to be calm, knowledgeable, and articulate. I make use of his 'remote support' services quite often which I find to be very good value.
Steve Blake set-up a sophisticated modem router that I found to be too difficult to set-up. Steve was very knowledgeable and solved several problems that had defeated me. The new modem router was soon connected and tested. Steve was a mine of information and provided a calm and no-rush service. If you are thinking of upgrading your modem router, speak to Steve for advice, he could easily save you money. I believe that Steve can bring a selection of modem routers to your home and can provide a device that will work throughout your home.
Sorted out numerous problems with my PC and took the time to patiently explain things to me in jargon free language. I've used Steve's services a few times and have always found him to be very helpful and entirely trustworthy. He turns up when he says he will - and on time too!
